Aminu Ahmen el Wada is fighting to eradicate polio in Nigeria. After losing the use of his legs to polio as a child, he now makes hand-operated bikes for polio survivors across Kano, northern Nigeria, where he lives. He has set up a polio survivors support group in the city, and in his spare time also coaches a ‘para football’ team, helping to destigmatise disability
