Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), which is the largest Public/Private Health initiative ever and Rotary is a founding member, has updated the Wild Polio Cases in 2018: 2018 Wild Polio Endemic Cases: 33 – (22 YTD 2017) Afghanistan: 21 (14) last case 11/06/18 Pakistan: 12 – (8) last case 12/31/18 Nigeria: 0 (0) – Last Case of Polio in Africa: 08/20/2016 We are “This Close” but have a lot of work to do.
