March of Dimes
On this day in 1955, the Salk vaccine was deemed “safe, potent and effective.” This historical achievement has saved the lives of millions worldwide, all because March of Dimes volunteers spoke up and donors knew that even a dime could make a difference. And that’s why we’ll never stop fighting for the health of all moms and babies. Together, we make breakthroughs possible.
