Our Mission
To broaden and deepen Rotarians and Rotaractors awareness of disabilities resulting from polio and enable them to improve the lives of polio survivors.
Polio Survivors Rotary Action Group has the following programs and objectives
Support Polio Plus
Support in any way possible, the Rotary PolioPlus program to eradicate polio throughout the world
Partnerships
To form associations with individuals, organizations and institutions already engaged in assisting polio survivors
Voices of Polio
To engage Rotarians in a world-wide project to collect the personal stories of polio as it affected individuals and communities
Rehabilitation
Initiate Community Based Rehabilitation Centers (CBR) where feasible to identify and provide restorative care for polio survivors and others
Add your voice
We are looking for members to become Ambassadors who will work in their region of the world as a liaison between their local Rotary Clubs, District leadership and the PS Rotary Action Group.
Ambassadors will
Provide speakers for club meetings and other events
Share information about the challenges of Polio Survivors
Liaise between their district and others to create partnerships to facilitate project development and funding opportunities.
